David Hurwich has had a life-long passion for creating art and graphics. Growing up in a quiet New England town he adored drawing and cartooning. He was soon influenced by cartoonists such as Charles Adams and Jim Davis.
While attending Carnegie Mellon University he began experimenting with in other medias besides pencil. He soon became infatuated with film and motion graphics. He was strongly influenced by the work of Bill Viola, Tim Burton, and Ridley Scott for creating stories the incorporated beautiful and creative visuals.
David Hurwich currently resides in San Francisco where he teaches graphics and art for the Bay Area Video Coalition and for City College of San Francisco. He is involved in many video / film / television / animation projects a round the Bay Area.
Some of his hobbies besides creating art include: surfing, cooking and computer programing.
